商务部8月27日发布公告称，8月26日，澳大利亚海关和边境保护署公告称，认定原产于中国的碳钢焊管未对该国国内产业造成实质性损害或损害威胁，正式结束对该产品的反倾销和反补贴调查。
公告未透露更多信息。
2009年10月8日，澳大利亚海关就对华碳钢焊管（也称空心钢管）反倾销复审案发布公告，决定继续维持原来4%的反倾销税或相关企业做出的价格承诺。
近十年来，随着应用领域的迅速扩展，国内对不同材质、不同规格、不同品种、不同用途的不锈钢管需求猛增；加上不锈钢管高附加值的吸引，生产不锈钢管材的企业从80年代时的十几家发展到目前的400多家，综合生产加工能力超过100万吨，实际产量从1989年的5万吨增加到1999年的39万吨；产量达5000吨水平的企业很少，多数是年产1000吨以下的小厂。钢种从单一的奥氏体发展到马氏体和铁素体双相钢、高合金钢；产品品种有无缝钢管包括冷拉管、冷轧管、热挤压管、离心铸造管、旋压管；焊接管包括：等离子焊、氩弧焊、埋弧焊、光速焊接和高频焊接等焊管，所能生产的不锈钢管基本上覆盖了世界各国标准的品种规格，不锈钢异型管的规格、品种也达百种以上，产品用途涉及工业及民用等众多领域。世界上一些发达国家不锈钢焊管的产量占整个不锈钢管总产量的65％~75％。我国不锈钢焊管的产能与国内市场需求不相适应，预测21世纪，国内市场年需求不锈钢焊管至少在6万吨，需进口产品弥补。
